The ParentForum was conceived in 2012 to give parents a chance to bring exciting and fresh ideas to enhance their children’s experience of school life. Each year group is represented by a parent and they meet on a regular basis to discuss new initiatives. Since their inception the ParentForum has discussed agenda items such as the quality and size of school meals, changes and enhancements to school reports, online payments for trips and meals, the school P.E kit, introduction of vocational awards as well as academic ones (Values and Virtues awards) - most of these have had positive outcomes.
We will be creating a ‘did you know’ section on the school website to let you know about some of the new ideas being adopted – watch this space!
In the meantime, please make yourself familiar with the Parent Forum members pictured below and should you have any new ideas, whatever the subject, they’d be happy to have your input.
The Parent Forum at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Primary School was set up to ensure that parent voice is heard in decision making.
It is not an avenue for complaining about problems/situations involving specific children. Our Lady Queen of Peace Parent Forum supports the work of the school and aids in future improvements.
